talked with some female net-makers; they would like credit in the form of nylon net(persediaan nylon) - at present can get loans of 10,000Rp from the rukun nelayan
they view nets as being "like gold" ("seperti mas") i.e. as a form of savings - they will sell if there is a financial emergency, but prefer not to, apparently because of the ever-present danger that their own

nets will be destroyed by trawlers if they do sell to neighbors, make a profit of about 20,000Rp per complete set ( costs listed p. 90 above 35,000 per tengteng x 2 tengteng = 70,000Rp.; can sell one complete set for 90,000Rp)
