[[/strike out]] the men a work; women + children resisted by throwing stones the 13 are remnants of a larger group of squatters ordered to dismantle house + move to make way for a building compleh deadline last Monday Ola Wesina, leader of the group, deplored way city took action he was called to the police headquarters that morning to negotiate w/ the authorities + his wife called to the mayor's office; attack occured in their absence group already had a lawyer + their case submitted to court June 27 + still pending one of the buildings demolished was a kindergarten where 40 children attend; principle, Mrs Nurhariya, asked that the equipment be removed before the kindergarten demolished, but this request not heeded
