Dear Doris,

This is a cloudy day the wind has gone into the N East & its going to rain. The wind was so cold Pa did not dare to work out, setting out the few remaining bulbs left over from Sunday. he hoarses up nights, it takes a long time to get over these colds and the cold winds we are having are not favorable to stay out in, unless its absolutely necessary. I feel lifeless since I had mine & without much ambition. Ralph & Maude were here Sunday night, it seems good to see them once in a while, but very few come here this winter & I have not been out for over a week now. Maude brought the baby a pretty little apron & a piece of cloth she found laying around in the house. I took it & washed it & cut out a dress regardless of pattern, the whole bigness of the cloth & faced it up at the bottom, so it would be as long as possible & we shall send it down for Easter. Maude is crazy over the baby & wanted to know if you had taken any pictures of her lately. They hear from young Ralph once in a while, the aunt Ethel is spending her money freely on them, paying their rent, when it comes due & seems to be their guiding mariner through their financial affairs. I guess his parents feel a relief as far as he is concerned.
