Stoughton March 11th 1931 Dear Doris Another snow storm but it turned into rain & nothing but slosh this morning. our thunder shower Sunday night cleared the atmosphere & Monday was a very nice day. so you see, we have had every kind of weather for the last few days & not very cold. Pa came down with his cold Friday & its been bothering him in his throat, his nose is working it off now & I hope by tomorrow he will have got the best of it. I try to get him to rest up Tuesday afternoon, as the stores close but he went down to the town house to work on the [[tranferes?]] instead. I went down to see Mrs Dykeman Monday Grace was them all of last week & she had been fine, but had a bad chill Sunday night. they have a nurse now its Billy [[?]] mother the woman that wanted to go down to your place, they say she is fine & Dr Golden recommended her to be a very good nurse. So you see she would have been much better than the one you did decide on, she wanted the job bad so Mrs Dykeman said, I did not see her as she was lying down. Mary Getchel is getting tired of the job, but I am in hopes she will hold out for a spell longer, she is not very well & thinks there is more work than she wants to do. its pretty hard to find one to suit these days. I guess she had rather work in the shop, but she goes down to Jakes when the spring openes up there. I guess she is looking forward to going & own the change
