Dear Doris

This is a terrible icy time, after Mondays snow storm, which turned into rain, but not enough to carry off the snow like it did the week before, but just enough to freeze & so make it bad for getting around. Arthur Perkins had an accident he was on his way to Brockton where he works, his car slerwed & he went into the rocks up by Jim Busbees & smashed the car & his head. the Dr was there three times to him yesterday. Jack Wayland told Pa, he lives the next house to them. they had not found out just how much he was hurt yesterday as there was no cuts on his head. do be careful there are so many of these terrible Auto disasters this winter we never know when we are safe. Last night we were thinking of fixing the fire to run through the night before turning in when who should walk in but Ralph & Maude they had just come from Tues night church supper & so walked up to see us, Ralph is anxious to get Henry into the Coop Bank & wanted to find out what Pa thinks about it & Pa told him how they felt in the matter. Maude says little Henry is terrible anxious & would be good in the business & likes it. but I cant tell how it will be they will fix it I guess to suit themselves if they have to turn Margery out but they would like to keep her also but dont know how much Ralph would be willing to
