Dear Doris.
 
Your box came Thursday while I was downtown & then Friday they brought it again & I was home to sign up for it so they left it. I have sent off most of my cards & now there is nothing left to do. We got a post card from Cousin Addie, she wanted your present address right away, so you will probably receive some present from them. I don't expect her to send anything to us knowing how she feels about our not coming to her anniversary but I dont care a thing about that. I feel she will make it up to you, so whats the difference. We were lucky in not getting that snow storm it went out to sea. There seems to be plenty of snow up north of us. I don't hear a word from Myrtie or Sue. I have sent Charles wife a card, but have not heard from any of them since they were here. This is a cold sunless morning & looks like snow. our new neighbors have just got home from meeting. I met Mrs Ring in the villiage square & she wanted me to promise to come over New Years. she says the new house
