[[text cut off]] looks so pretty from this place. [[text cut off]] of an evening, when its all lighted up. she says Nellie is fast losing grounds, seems very feeble & is not doing so much. she may go first before Dennis, we think she will. Mrs Ballentine told me Mary Toomey said, that you were highly educated, & a nice girl. she & Frances are great chums, over there with her girls. the [[frish?]] are great for style. the Toomeys are much for it, never having had anything of the sort while they grew up. They are talking of building a town way through Dykemans road, to be voted on at the next town meeting. Mrs Dykeman is poorly terrible nervous. Mrs Raychard gets on her nerves. I went down after apples & she gave them to me for a Xmas presents. she says that out of her 21 children & grandchildren, she has made a present to them all thinking that probably another year she will not be here. Little Betty ought not to be spanked for her little baby prattle in the morning, little birds sing & talk early at dawn of the day & why not little girls & boys. they should not be punished when they are so innocent & cute. I trust our box got thru safe. [?] called me up to ask for your address. I wanted to send Ilga a card, but did not know her address. but guess Brockton high would reach her. dont you think? these are great times I guess Post Office officials think so.
