Doris—

We are still having dull rainy weather but mild. so our kitchen stove heats the whole ranch in a way. it does seem good not to have to run the heater these days. I suppose Ralphs folks are down in Maine over Sunday. I went over & saw the presents, Maude had been at work on for three weeks, & guess that was all she had done by the looks of her house. the bed spread was handsome, so was the curtains to match, & also the lamp shade, all done in blue rayon satin, with her crotched flowers. set on, very pretty indeed. I suppose it will mean a present out of the "Professor" wont it? I am busy sewing this past week, in two weeks now it will be thanksgiving I must get about making mince pies
