before hand last year you were here, sad though for Sid, these holidays are hard for us all to get through. Lena may come out as usual but nothing was said about it the day she was here, the box of persimmons came out in good condition, they were very good I sent some over to Mary [[June??]] they never tasted them before, but liked them. I was talking with one new neighbor in the back yard & she seemed very pleasant, her Addie planned the new house & she thought she did well . she takes Mary Toomey to ride Sunday afternoons so she says, they like their neighbors up here & says her sister goes up to Nellies about every night & stays untill their brother gets out of Boston, I guess they are all right, she asked if their house took off all the sun from us & I said no, it could not have been planned any better for us & she said she was glad of it for they were afraid it had. Larry has brought three more trucks of loam & served it down again Ma
