Stoughton Nov 5th 1930

Dear Doris
We are having a very stormy day. it held off till after election, for which we were thankful for. Lena came out Monday afternoon + voted after whitch she went right back. I gave her the small fern to carry back to Mrs Pittingill as she had lost hers. she read through all of your letters home even the two postal cards, after which she felt as though she had visited you. I havent heard the out come of the voting yet. it was a very busy day in Stoughton + presume that Mrs Irving caried the day, well the only difference it will make with the most of us is, in having the irish beat us at the polls. I presume the bundle reached you by this time I am anxious to know how they fit her. Was glad to know how the woman takes hold of things + feel that perhaps you may have struck the right one at last. the third time never fails
