It's so cold I am writing the letter out on the front Portico in the sun. a sudden change since Friday we got the change but not much rain. while Lena was here it was here it was terrible hot weather, but now its as far the other way good working temperature. Friday Mame Helen, and Ethel & her daughter were riding around making calls so they drove up to see me. Ethel is a great husky woman, she is smart, but not at books; they raise vegetables & put them up in glass, for market. she has been here with the Walese now a month, but was going back so to put up the tomatoes. I guess she knows how to do things & has to work for her living, she is the picture of health. no work yet has begun on the lot which is giving the cat birds so much longer time to grow strong enough to care for themselves, they may not start in untill you arrive Lena hoped they would not, so you could see how pretty the foliage looked once there. where Lena is they have no yard & it looked good to
