Myrtie is still at Alice Talbots. Anna says that her sickness had been coming on for some time. she was losing flesh & you know she had not much to lose. she looks pretty gaunt now. Mary comes out to see her every week, so she must realize the situation. I am sorry. Alice has nothing really to live for, no family, but I guess she enjoyed life up to now. $15 is a good price for what little Myrtie has to do, she is slopping all over Gerard, if he likes it now, he may soon get sick of her. I have made the other two little nighties & that finishes up the rest of the cloth. I may not send them as she will soon come up. I went down to see Mrs Dykeman she does not enjoy being sicke & having to have Mrs [[Baychard?]] there to do the work. Mikes little girl has another infection on her leg. the other was on her neck, she had chicken pox. & she is a little bit older than our Betty & smart as a cricket, also a little beauty, with her little round face. Pa is out raking leaves. Now he cant let the work alone. he sees so much to do around the house. dinner to start now. Ma
