Dear Doris
This is a good spring morning. Pa is clearing up his back lot & I have raked the leaves off the iris & around the flocks & grape vine. in another week the forsythias will be out. the frogs were peeping in great shape last night.
Thursday I was down town & called to see how Alice Talbot was getting along. she was looking feeble. she spoke of being all of a tremble. she went to ride while I was there. Myrtie is in her elements. she likes Gerard, she does not have much work to do on account of her arm. She said that her Alice had been sick quincey sore throat & it turned into septic poison, & she has spent all the money she earned teaching, for Dr's bills. she says Percy is selling Fridgedairs.
