Talbot came up yesterday and stayed a good long time & after him Ralph dropped in, but he did not stay, we were just ready to sit down to supper. I let him read your last letter.

I am very fond of peas but they hurt me, so yesterday I thought up a scheme of sifting them & then serving them in milk (a soupe). it worked all right. & as I have so many cans to get rid of, I shall fix them in that way. I have not bought any meat since you left. & dont miss it. I am going down town after butter after my nap the butter you left will last the rest of this week so you see we are not very ravinous but our appetites are good are all right love to the rest of the house.
