Dear Doris

I will begin my letter to night as there is nothing else to do. we have had a very nice sunny day. Pa is listening into radio to pass the time away. his paper did not come & he was disappointed. Talbot came to see Pa the last of the week, but Pa does'nt care for company these days. he cant bear to have me go down town either, so I stay right here most of the time. have not been but once since you were here. that meat you left lasted the rest of the week. had some haddock to day just two slices Pa raises the roof every time I get meals. he thinks I cook too
