Dear Doris
We are having a hot spell 94° 97° in Boston. A hard night to get through a reprieve the papers say today. I have been putting up berries I picked last night after the sun went down. We are sick of eating them so I put them up there are a lot this year. The boy came yesterday (or last night) to mow the lawn. My sweat is running down my face as I write the letter. Pa is trimming around the edges he says its hard work. He found his deed of the lot, but not the mortgage papers, of Dykemans. he is standing the hot spell as well as can be expected pretty cool in the house this morning.
