Dear Doris

A hot day has just begun. yesterday was pretty warm. Pa did go down town & stood the walk both ways pretty good. but it is too much. he was feeling better natured & not so depressed as the day before. he has those days once in a while and nothing can counteract them. it most drives himself & every one around him wild. we got a letter from Lena yesterday she is same as ever with her instructions. she will see Dr Ott & then be wiser than ever. I hope she does not come out for I have just made the bed up clean & aired the bed bed clothes & dont feel like going over it again just for one nites stay. We had company last night as we were sitting out on the front porch a car stopped & three got out. who should it be but Ruthie her husband, Mr Kemph & little baby boy, the baby is a darling. he is a very pretty, bright, little thing & sleeps all night
