Dear Doris

I am writing the letter early, as I have got to go down before the heat of the day. It is clear & sunny this morning & the sun will mean a hot day later on. Pa is sitting down waiting to hear the morning news. clear & not much change in temperature is predicted. I am putting up berries yesterday they were very plenty over in the field & it was a cool NW wind so I took advantage & stayed out to pick the black ones are getting ripe & are large. I like them best if the seeds are larger. Pete McGarvey has got a new ford car. these boys who were poor & never had anything in their youth are crazy for things when they grow up. his house I should think would be enough for him
