Stoughton July 22nd 1981

Dear Doris

We are having dog days again. Pa went down town yesterday & got caught in the shower, so had to change his clothes on reaching home but was none the worse for it. I think it makes him more content to go down.

Ralph & Maude were up last night they have got their cottage fixed up with gas stove & the tenants in now they hope they stay there long enough to help pay for the expense. Ralph says Henry is taking hold of the insurance well & likes it, he is nearing his 21st birthday & if he passes the test, will draw more pay. I guess he is all right blood tells
