Stoughton July 17th 1931

Dear Doris

I am writing this letter the night before is not to have it to do in the morning we are having a lot of cloudy weather & not so hot. Just after dinner Sue came up she had not heard from us lately so thought she would come & see for herself. She says Alice has that sinus trouble in her face she is looking pretty thin & old (Sue) & is not any to well, her stomac is bad & she has no appetite Mary Toomey is sitting over in the hammock with the Ballentine girl (Addie) they are very intemit [[intimate]]. Yesterday Ralph & Maude came over they come frequently. they are lonesome & are looking forward to Sidneys coming home. Little Henry has been down East camping out with two other boys & Henry called on the widows folks in Biddeford Maine was interested in another one
