Dear Doris

This is a lovely cool sunny day. wind in the N East & the babies birthday. we have been to dinner. & Pa is having a nap in the front room where its cool. he has been rather doleful & then a little upset over a foolish thing. he saw a cat in the back yard. so Lena & I ran out & were spatting our hands to drive her away. when Georges little dog sat up a terrible barking. so I went over to see what the matter was & he said he had a worm fit & our spatting our hands made him bark. Well then the Ballentines called me over to ask me about the trouble, & Pa called me over home & said Lena was terribly upset & his head was likewise.
