Dear Doris.

We are having hot days, good air this morning & I am watering the garden & preparing for a singer. Jim has just been around with Leonards check & Lena is preparing to go down to put Bruce's bill in the office & cash in the others. Pa can do more than he thinks he can. his morbid mind is the worst part of his ailments togather with his nerves. Ring comes over to talk with him everyday & he is none the worse for it. I am sorry you are sweltering down in Washington its always hot here around the 4th
