P.S. Ralph & Maude came yesterday & then went down to Nantucket to meet the one who had hired the cottage
Maude doesnt look a bit well Ralph is going to write a letter to Sidney to day & tell him about Kin Southworth.

Stoughton June 28th

Dear Doris
a cool & pleasant day I was up this morning early. Lina has just got out her washing & is now preparing the vegetables for dinner. We are vegetarians no meat since the first of the week. I manage to get enough berries each day for a pie for dinner. They ripen fast, perhaps they will be plentiful in the swamps this year. Our boy that mows the grass did not come last night as usual I dont know why. yesterday was a fight to keep the cats from catching our young robins. Pa heard a great commotion
