Dear Doris

Am writing the letter early as Lena is going down to the office & will have the chance of getting this in by the first mail. it is very cool weather. last night it rained hard & Pa was cold, so we gave him a stone to warm up on. he don't dare to weigh himself he says, he has lost so much since being sick, he seems more like himself this morning though I think he notices more these sudden changes in the weather. Sunday was so hot & then this week so cold. it looks now like a pleasant day with blue sky over head our robins are quiet this morning. the old bird took him off into the bushes so we let her tend to him. but they made a great fuss when we went into the back yard.
