Stoughton June 23rd 1931 Dear Doris We had a very nice cool sunny day yesterday. Lena went in town but came out early. I was on needles & pins over our robins in the cordelia tree they were too crouded [[crowded]] & late in the day one tumbled out on the ground we got a basket & put a nest into it & tied it up in the tree again but not a robin dared to go near the nest. but the little bird was yelling his head off he was so hungry. so Pa took him out and put him und a bush & made us keep away & there he is & the birds & taking care of him. now if the cats keep away he may soon be able to fly & care for himself. Lena sits here by the window
