Stoughton May 20th 1931

Dear Doris,

A lovely day, yesterday. I finished setting out my flowers, now the front chamber is clean. I went over the floor carefully moving bed & bureaus, commode & tables so that room I shant bother her to take up the carpet this summer. I will put up my curtain when its ironed & call it done. I worked like time yesterday, all the afternoon, Talbot came up to see Pa so I knew then he would be well entertained & I should not be interrupted so I finished setting out the rest of my house plants & also made a bed for the crysanthemums Sidney sent up. by digging up those star of bethleham bulbs so crowded in side of the white day lilly under where Pa had sawed down the two
