Stoughton May 17th 1931

Dear Doris

A very nice day the weather of yesterday was muggy but two showers went both sides of us & that cleared the air, so to day it is fine, but a terrible thing happened in the neighbohood. Mrs Conlon gave birth to an eleven lb baby & the two Dr's who were there pronounced her all right, she turned over on the side then & died instantly. the baby is alive & healthy they left it with the nurse & he & the body were taken to Worcester where her mother lives & where her two other children were. she had been expecting to be sick for the last week & went with her husband to the movies over in Brockton last night, then at two this morning died, Pete McGarvey said
