Dear Doris
Lena has just come home from down town & brought home Pa's mail & a letter from his lodge which acknowledged his throwing up of the insurance & so forth a nice letter thanking him for his long & faithful service & regretting his sickness. then on coming in to the house, we found this other letter which was in your name & so am sending it along without letting him know a thing about it & you can do as you think fit about letting him know they also sent his commision check of one dollar & ten cents & a receipt of the insurance money that you sent in to them. & Lena brought George Monks check up to May 1st so we have things pretty well straighened out at present. Amos came up to see him yeste-day afternoon & I think Pa enjoyed
