Love Ma.

Dear Doris,
Your mother has gone upstairs to take her nap and we are hoping that your father is snoozing in Sid's little house but, as he doesn't want to be caught at it, I can't be sure. I haven't seen Dr. Ewing. Was he coming again anyway, or did he leave it for you to call him? I should think that he ought to keep tabs on your father. The weather here is wonderful. Im surprized to hear that it was cold down there. Love to you and little Doris - Lena
