Dear Doris,

We are having it a bit cooler today after a slight rain last might. most of the showers went aroun [[around]] us. they had very heavy down pours in Plymouth regular washouts, but here only wet down an inch or little more perhaps. so there was no need of sprinkling the flower beds but I did, force of habit.

I met Mystic coming up to Fichers this morning. she had got to do up eight shirts so she said as hot as it was. some how she looked better as though she had shrunk. but she said she weighed just as much 190 lbs. her walking is certainly good for her, but she is pretty solidly built big bones & meaty.
