We have had a little more rain a black cloud came up in the west + just as I was going to bed the wind blew a gale + it poured rain I got wet to my skin in trying to shut down the windows + its cold + the wind is cold today. Pa says he has been cold all day + still he will not put on a sweater. I have a good coal fire in the kitchen stove. he has been watching for Harris all day. he has just come half past two. + me had about given him up. he was too nervous to sleep but I had my nap.
