Dear Doris

Partially cloudy mugg [[muggy]] feeling day. I went down after envelopes & stamps early this morning to avoid the heat of the day & got a few things a box of Ed Rosses Bairham straw berries looked tempting. our third box this season & probably the last .19 cents a box Pa sampled them as soon as he saw them.

I suppose those services up to Evergreen cemetery are going on & they will wonder why I was not there but it will show that Pa could not be left for so long a time of course. they may some of them call around but guess they will hurry back as its a long ride in their auto home.

Pa was stirred up this afternoon a young man came to the door & asked about buying our old express
