she had once a while ago. so she is done for. they thought a great deal of her & she always came out as long as she was able. too bad but she was always ailing & never well. 
I went once to see Maude a minute last night before I went to bed. she was there alone. & was telling how little Henry grabbed his father & went dancing around the the rooms after the music of the radio. old Ralph & Henry two such fatties must have been a comicalsight & no wonder she laughed. then when I got home Pa was wild, he raved & soon got over it & went to bed. he had found I had gone & he was tired. no harm. Maude had been cheerful & thats what I was in need of. as its pretty tough sometimes here all alone with no one to speak to. & I have to get where there is life. too much gloom is not good for any body. I am sending things along your creek. it came this morning. Ma
