after every body else is quiet. staying out doors is fine & good for the nerves. Alice says that she stays out all the time she can, she is working around her flowers. Percy goes down to Frank Capens at Brant rock & works for them setting out plants he says one day he set out as many as three hundred plants for them. he can't get work. he told me he would do anything for me if I got where I wanted any help. Myrtie is still up to Frank Fichers they seem to like her. Willimene goes in town & works with her husband & Mrs Fischer is not very well & her husbands health is not of the best. that family have bad kidneys & weak hearts.

I was talking with Mrs Ballentine last night & she says the priest tells the people to their church to forego all pleasure & entertainments & use their money to help the poor who are out of work & they all pray that this depression comes at an end as soon as possible. even Mike Williams says the priest tells them to pray for the Protestants he thinks we are all going to hell, he just as much as said the same I knew by his actions how he felt, he's an ignorant old fool just the same. well the time flies & I must go in to see where Pa is & time to start hulling my strawberries for supper. Since supper I went over to the old place & saw Pearl out doors & asked her if she supposed her father would tear down the old shed in back for the wood in it & she said yes I will ask him. & since then he has gone at it so now Louie won't have that to do.
