hold the window steady at the bottom untill I get the screws out & dont try to lift. but he carried it in to the back door & then I came in. I saw he was for taking away the ladder so I put it up again & we took the other two windows off. he helped but did not do anything strenuous. only went up the ladder once & took out the upper screws on one window & he carried one window in. they are off now in the dining room & I have got the screens in & no thanks or harm to any one. I dont care whether the front room windows are taken off as I never open them. & I have the front door open to get a draft through the whole house. now all Ill have to do is pay Gregory for taking the sitting room windows off & putting on two screen doors. I am not going to give him pay for what he did'nt [[didn't]] do $1.50 is quite sufficient dont you think?

Pa has been right at my heels all day. I took the old reclining chair he would not let me cover last year & have managed to do so this afternoon. I like to sit out where the baby used to have her nap in the hammoc [[hammock]] under the beech tree. its good for the nerves. I got a letter from Lena this morning. its too bad about how she (Mrs Andrews) did not do by Bernice & Lena as she ought to. there is something queer she was [[underline]] mean [[/underline]] I think when she promised. too darn bad I am sorry.
