Dear Doris

We are having a cold storm angry clouds going over the sky & wind to the N West. a good fire to day is the right thing sure. I went down this morning early after some spinnage [[spinach]] for Pa he is in fair condition & willing to take it & its good for him. the native strawberries are just coming with us 25 a box but I did not care for them. as I had just opened a jar of blueberries & they are better for me.

You spoke of a refridgerator & getting one now Doris dont do it. my old one is all right. but I am not taking ice as the cellar is sufficient for what little stuff I have to keep I never have but a pint of milk & a little butter to keep cool surely thats not enough to waiste money on ice over. Pa is eating but a small ammount compared to what an ordinary person does. I am not getting meat & what little I have the cellar is keeping well & sufficient so I don't intend to take ice over this small ammount of food for theres no need of it.

I have got $30. beside that ammount I got to the bank so dont fret. I guess Bruce may think to shout by the middle of the month, he certainly should if he has any, dont you think?
