Stoughton

June 4th 1932

Dear Doris

This is a day without much air but hot sun & wind to the westward. I hope we get showers later on. I gave Pa a bath & he changed on to summer unergarments of his own accord. I have not got much to occupy my time so am writing my letter early in the day.

I spoke to George about asking Mike Williams to come & mow around the old place & this one too as the grass is growing fast & the sooner he gets it the better it suits us all.

I hope Gregory Colcord shows up today to take off the rest of our outside windows although there are only the dining room three windows that I care particularly about as the front room windows might just as well stay on I never use the room much of any.

I was over to call on Mrs Gilzer last night she saw me out in the yard & called me over to see her plants. she is a very kind & intelligent person she came from the West where they grow such women. She drew my attention to her hard wood floors, she said the old floors were very poor. she looks very nice & is a neat housekeeper. I only stayed a few minutes.
