I had strawberries for supper + they were pretty sour. I dont care much for them unless they are sweet + a good flavor. They ought to distress me otherwise.
In this town + in Brockton they are trying to economyze [[economize]] by doing without so many street lights. As they have the cars lighted, they dont have to furnish street lights for them. Then corner lights are essential. But in between a lot of lights they are doing away with + this is quite a saving for the town.
Pa is getting nervous. I hear him walking overhead. He did not feel hungry for supper, as he eats between meals. Then at the table he's not hungry + spoils the meal for me to hear him say I dont care for this + that, you need not get me anything. I dont want any. He seems to think he is the only one to be considered. He asked me while Jim was here how old he was. Can you imagine Pa not knowing how old he was or where he was born? So you see his mind is going [[sure?]].
Well my neighbor is having someone digging the ground up for another garden. She gets things done where I would pitch in and do them myself. I cut down another tree that was shading my tomatoes last night. It was a chestnut. The peach trees I cut down early in the spring + then another chestnut growing in the stump there were enough without them. Ma
