I am sitting out doors down by the little museum building writing the letter the air is fragran [[fragrant]] being scented by the clove bush & the lilacs which are in full bloom. the dog wood is very full of blossoms & its a pretty sight, snow balls are also in bloom but the insect that gets on to it spoil the blossoms & curl up the leaves. our spirea is just coming in bloom, most of the flowers will be gone bye in a weeks time.

I had a letter from Lena this morning & sent one off last night to her. she doesn't mention whether Mrs Andrews left a will or not. she died not long after her mother passed away. her husband may take another wife to share his property. it certainly needs a mistress to carry on the estates she left behind. I had an idea that she might leave to Bernice the country estate up to Choeara the house needs to be opened. for occupancy for it was shut up some little time. that was their home place I believe.

I believe it most time for me to get supper. griddle cakes made of bran & indian meal & flour we like them best & they make a full meal for both of us with indian pudding if we want to top off with. now the wind has changed it seems a little warmer. I hope it dont get too warm as it is the grass is burning up on the front lawn so it won't need any mowing tomorrow.
