Pa notices these sudden changes he is cold. he still wears his winter flannels + may be he will all summer. I dug some more dandelions this forenoon but they are getting rather tough. Pa likes spinnage [[spinach]] the best, its tenderer for him as he has no teeth.

Myrtle seems pleased to think she has a job to earn a bit of money. so long since she has had a job. she had a letter from Eleanor + she seems happy since she got married. I believe there is a couple wanting to come there to board. Elsie is taking care of an old woman for four dollars a week. she is good to old people + does the best she can.

I don't even see Jim Capen I guess he does not go out any to walk he said coming over here made him worse he probably rides some the car has been a God send to that family. Coming home from downtown yesterday Flossie Low waved to me so I went across the st + sat down a minute with her. she feels totally alone since her husband went. she cried. she can just manage to hobble around with a cane. I told her to brace up she had a pretty home + plenty to do with + was better off than lost of people but she seemed to think there was nothing to live for.they were a united couple + she will never be happy without him. Arthurs wife had a growth. well this is hoping you are all well. I hope Mrs. G is having good news from home. poor woman I pity her
