The old woman has decided not to have her back yard plowed up. but I think she is a fool. the black berry patch that George mowed down for her will come up worse than ever, say nothing of those old locus roots. that are running over every body with in their range.

The sun is getting into the sitting room & grows warm about three or four O'clock I am going to get supper & then go down to the little store after some quaker oats & eggs. Griddle cakes out of bran Pa likes them they are good for a change off the white bread. I like to have supper early then the rest of the time I can do as I am a mind to read or listen in to the radio

Some of the things in that box I can make good use of there are stockins & nighties quite whole. rags to braide-up also. Ralph is going to have an electrical fan put into his bank Arthur Dykeman is going to do it, he was told, its a terrible hot hole in summer. with those little small windows opening to the south, he gets no air. well this is all there is to write.
