The blue jays have built their nest in the little pine tree this side of the museum building. I think perhaps the old crow wont disturb them being so near a building.

I wonder if this is a stormy day for you down there I hope not at least for its the only day for you to get out for a rest. you work too hard + wont have the enjoyment one ought to in this world. I wish you could give up your working + move away where we are the rest of our lives.

This is a regular bird day the back yard is full of them, damp, warm day. Pa thinks that its better for me to stay in to day. he is in constant fear of my going off some where. the day is composed of constant showers. its very catchy weather, April showers. April up here was more like March. well by the way its pouring now there is no fear of my going any where. It rained hard all after noon. I have written a letter to Georgiana Briggs since I begun your letter a good day to write letters. my daffodills are looking thrifly they will bud this year. I have some tulips budding. this has put every thing ahead.
