The check you sent came today & also the pillow slips. thanks for the same, I had $18. & in one week more Drake pays & next month Bruce check, he pays every two months now, so you see there was no need of sending that check. 

I will pay for the oil Pa thought was so foolish to order, & save up out of it to pay Colcord when he takes the out side windows off & puts on the screen doors. I may also get him to spade up for those tomatoes. I dont care to get lamed up over it.

It look like it might rain to night. I have just been out digging around the flower beds. I think most every one of those bulbs we set out lived, there are a young million of them & you dont [[don't]] know how they grew after I loosened the first & pulled the grass away from them. I wish they could be enriched to make them more thrifty, but would boned meal be the stuff they use
Our liquid manure has no strength since the old horse died I used to get that so much for garden fertizer [[fertilizer]]. but no use, any one can get the bone meal for plants & its easier to dig around & mix into the soil. Ma
