Stoughton April 12th 1932

Dear Doris

We certainly had April showers all the forenoon & this afternoon its trying its best to clear after four days of storm. to day the wind got into a warmer quarter.

I went over to Maudes [[Maude's]] after supper & found them both at home Ralph was ready to go down to his bank meeting he was talking about George Monk he is entirely out of conceit with him & his maneuvering. I wish he could be thrown out of there, he is no more fit for the President of such a consern [[concern]] than nothing, he is not trust worthy. as Talbot told him when he came the last time to borrow money, "well why wont you lend me money"? "because you are not reliable", saying Arthur Talbot. I pity Beatrice, she has given up her life to help her family. so they say, she had a good chance to marry I am told, but refused on account of supporting her parents. The old Glisha Monk house is for sale but they dont seem to sell it. I am afraid that the bank will take it foreclose if it belonged to any body else it would before now take it.
