so to set it. he has changed a lot since he was married, he does not seem so afraid of a woman. Louie has just been with the window sash. he only charged a doller for work & finding the glass. I tried to have him ask a decent price, but no he said it did not take him long after he got at it & if there was anything else he could do, just let him know & he would gladly do it. anytime. He has always been just so with us a true friend. he traded at the old store just as long as it lasted. Pa was worried & when he found out the price, he shut up like a clam. I told him no misery it had got to be mended, no matter what it cost.

The day is cleared & afternoon sunny, but cool wind. I presume you are riding to day, all over your trip & Mrs Cutting is ready for another ride. your temperature summerish & every thing to the queens taste. I have not seen the Blakes to day. but they may be down to their cottage to Nantasket. they ride a great deal. I must go over to see how their house is fixed up since the fire. but Pa is so afraid to have me leave there is no fun in going any where but as long as I hav'nt been out to day I will go to the box & drop this letter for a change of air & scene. I am looking for the babies picture by tomorrow now.
