Afternoon is very sunny. also warm but last night the wind blew a gale most all night Pa woke me up about one O’clock saying there was a noise in the front chamber sounded like breaking  glass.   On getting up to investigate I found the piece of glass in the upper sash that was stuck in with putty had blown out & the wind was coming in there strong. so I took a cloth & rolled it up & stuffed it to the hole & reached out after moving away the plants & shut up the blind. but I got back to bed again although no more sleep was there so we
