Stoughton March 27th 1932 Dear Doris This has been a nice Spring day with a cool wind toward night. I have been busy taking away the ashes from the back of the house, that the warm rain has softened up + put them on the sidewalk on Seares Street. I noticed Bruce had a ladder up in one of the trees in the orchard where he had been trimming the old branches. it occupies his leasure [[leisure]] time + does the trees good. I told him he could trim them just as if they were his he seemed to like the idea + his wife smiled + took extra paines to bow the next time I saw
