Stoughton March 20th 1932

Dear Doris

This has been a cold but sunny day, with plenty of wind to make us aware that March is still lingering aroun the corner.

I have kept pretty busy washing + having Pa change his clothes but no bath will he take these days. [[underline]] no sir [[/underline]]. I dont urge him for whats the use. he is up stairs by himself he sleeps well nights. thats better than he used to do. I dont think he is worrying quite as much as he was either. he does not talk but a very little now. I got him some

manners may be improved therein by so much entertaining & being invited out times. she is going to enjoy society I believe & its showing up young.

Irma has just been here, she stayed about an hour. but Pa was up stairs & did not make his appearance. he came down after she went away. & had a bit of mush & his fig syrup. he is suspicious & thinks some one came with her & says I fool him, by keeping things from him. I tell him next time he had better come down & see for himself. Monday another sunny day I have just eaten breakfast after a good nights sleep. no wind this morning looks like a nice day. not much to do as I washed yesterday so will cart out the ashes from down cellar, if the wind dont start to blow
