Stoughton  March 18th 1932

Dear Doris 

This has been a pleasant sunny day in spite of the weather predictions to the contrary & not very cold so far  no knowing what tonight may bring forth. The sun has melted away most all of the snow which fell yesterday. so now it is a clear slate. what will come next?

It does seem good to have the days longer. next month they will change the time again. it wont make much differance [[difference]] to me as I know of. either way they fix it. 

The going to to day has been bad, so I thought to stay at home was the best policy. yesterday I forgot to get any envelopes & as theres only one left for this letter. I’ll have to get them in them in the morning.

It must seem good to have the old wash woman do your clothes again, you have enough to do without doing your washing I should think. I do a little every day & I find its the best way. here I have hung my clothes out the back side of the house all winter. now they get the sun a greater part of the forenoon. I hate to hang them where they are in the face & eyes of my neighbors in the big house. their under
