Stoughton March 16th 1932

Dear Doris.

 I presume that your Cooperation check came all right as it was sent this noon in my letter. I intend to go down town to do a few errands but the cold wind still keeps up. guess it will let up soon. the radio had it to warm up to day.
 The sun is nice & warm, but to step outside it tells a different story. it was 10 degrees this morning early, the wind has got to get out of the NW before there will be a change for the better. 
 The pictures came this forenoon. they were good. I liked the one standing on the lower step with her fathers cap on the best. the expression was very good & the one sitting with taddy & the cat & she smiling the little tike, they were all good. but one with Pa's cap on & eyes shut I did not like the expression too self conscious.
 Pa has just come down from the up stairs, he is getting something to eat so i am going to have him sit down to eat his supper or he will fill up now & wont be hungry later. it is all cooked ready. macaroni, toasted bread, apple pie cake & rice pudding & tea. this is the bill of fare with us tonight. & its a little after four but he had his dinner at eleven o'clock.
